Melnor

Melnor was started in 1946 by Norman, Louie, and Sam Seiden. Melnor got its start in the lawn and garden industry because of Norman. As a mechanical engineer, Norman saw the sprinklers of his time only watered the middle of the lawn. The corners of the yard would still get dry. Wanting to change this, Norman invented an oscillating sprinkler to saturate the corners and protect the center from getting muddy.

Thus, in March 1955, Seiden submitted Melnor’s first patent for a fluid-actuated oscillating lawn sprinkler. Today, they have over 155 patents for watering tools.

Their mission to provide quality watering tools and exceptional customer service has led the Melnor brand to become beloved by many lawn enthusiasts over the years. People to this day still collect their timeless vintage products for nostalgia and quality workmanship.
