The Makita DUX60PTM5X is meeting the demand with an expanding line of cordless outdoor power equipment (OPE) that includes the 36V (18V X2) LXT® Brushless Couple Shaft Power Head, and the line trimmer straight shaft attachment. With the environment in mind, the Makita split shaft trimmer features zero emissions, lower noise and maximum versatility, the Power Head is a welcome solution for a range of trimming and cutting applications. The Makita line trimer is powered by two 18V LXT® batteries for maximum performance and run time without the hassles of gas and all  without leaving the 18V battery platform.  The Makita DUX60PTM5X Power Head is compatible with a variety of optional couple shaft attachments, with a lever style lock system for quick tool-less installation and replacement. The Makita DUX60PTM5X is a very universal and highly configurable tool that  can be used with multiple attachments for trimming, edging, cultivating, and brush cutting (sold separately).
