The BE 85.400.048 foam lance will coat your vehicle in a thick layer of foam similar to your soap option at the car wash which allows the chemicals to sit on the surface and do their work, rather than the suds slipping right off. The BE 85.400.048 foam lance (often called a foam cannon) lowers the volume of water and increases the amount of soap, hence why it creates a thick foam that builds up and sticks to the vehicle. An additional benefit of using a foam lance is that the pressure washer uses a lot less water, making it a little more drought-friendly and there is less wasted water during both the soaping and rinsing stages of the wash.
