Returns & Exchanges Policy

At Adam’s Tarp & Tool, we understand that sometimes products may be defective, not meet your expectations, or require an exchange. Our goal is to offer a fair and flexible return policy while maintaining the best possible prices for our customers.

General Return Guidelines

• Customers must contact us before returning any product to obtain authorization and avoid delays in processing. Contact us at info@adamstarpntool.com or call the store where the purchase was made.
• We encourage customers to carefully review product details before purchasing to ensure suitability. If you’re unsure about a product, our team is happy to assist before you place an order.
• Returns must be initiated within 30 days of the original purchase date and must include original packaging, all components, and proof of purchase. For holiday purchases, returns are extended 15 days past Christmas.

Defective or Damaged Products

• If a product is defective, we will work with you and the manufacturer to resolve the issue. Manufacturer warranties apply as the primary coverage for all defects.
• If a product arrives with minor cosmetic damage (e.g., a small scratch or dent from shipping), we may offer a discount instead of a full exchange to help avoid unnecessary shipping costs while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Significant damage or product defects will be handled on a case-by-case basis, and we will make every effort to ensure a fair resolution.

Freight-Damaged Shipments

• Inspect Upon Delivery: If your shipment is delivered via freight and you notice visible damage to the packaging upon delivery, please refuse the shipment immediately. It is essential that any signs of freight damage be noted on the waybill at the time of delivery.
• Carrier Responsibility: Refusing a damaged shipment notifies the carrier, making them responsible for returning the package to us at no extra cost to you.
• Accepted Without Notation: If a damaged freight shipment is accepted without noting the damage on the waybill, Adam’s Tarp & Tool cannot assume responsibility for any replacement shipping costs incurred due to the freight damage.

Clothing Exchanges

• If you need a different size, you may return the original item at your expense. We will cover the shipping cost for the replacement size in most cases.
• Returned clothing must be new, unused, and in original condition with tags attached and original packaging.

Clearance & Discontinued Items

• Clearance and discontinued items are final sale and not eligible for return except in limited circumstances.
• If a return is approved for a clearance item, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs. These items are often sold at our cost or below, so we cannot afford to cover multiple shipping charges.

Return Shipping & Restocking Fees

• While we strive to cover return shipping costs whenever possible, customers may be responsible for return shipping fees, especially for large or heavy items due to high freight costs and our low-margin business model.
• At our discretion, a restocking fee may apply depending on the condition of the return and the circumstances of the request.

Special Order & Non-Returnable Items

• Special order products cannot be returned or exchanged.
• Once received, returned items will be inspected by a manufacturer representative before a credit is issued, if eligible.
